The Armed Forces Museum is Norway's national museum for military history, primarily our own military history, but also that of other nations whose military history is connected to Norway or Norwegian history.
The Norwegian Air Force Museum in Bodø is the Armed Forces Museum’s primary and fixed exhibit of aeroplanes and military aviation history. The exhibit is integrated in the public exhibit at the National Norwegian Aviation Museum, and together these two exhibits comprise one of Northern Europe’s absolute finest aviation museum exhibits. In addition, we have an exhibit at Gardermoen, in a building open to the public at certain times. The dissemination activity here is handled by Stiftelsen Militærhistorisk Forum Østlandet (SMFØ). This is also where the Armed Forces Museum’s aircraft workshop is located. |
