Due to a technical malfunction of the manipulator arm of the ROV, the recovery of the engine is delayed. An attempt to recover the engine was first planned on March 17th.We will have another try sometimes in the autumn 2010.

In march 2010, the NTNU vessel "Gunnerus" located the missing engine from Skua L2896, earlier recovered from Orkdalsfjord. The engine was located at a depth of 370 meters. Even if it seems that the engine is somewhat reduced in quality, it still contains important parts for our project like exhaust manifold and forward partof the engine mount. The propeller was still attached to the engine.
