Kjeller F.F.9 Kaje I

Norway, basic trainer biplane, two pilots in tandem

In 1921 work was begun on acquiring a new training plane for the Army Airforce. It was given the name FF9 Kaje and was a 2-seater training and reconnaissance plane. The wing profile was a German "Göttingen" built under licence. Apart from that, the aircraft was of Norwegian design, built of wood and covered with canvas. The engine was encased in aluminium. The aircraft was in use until the early 1930's.
