![]() FES 530 Lehrmeister Germany, sailplane The Lehrmeister is a 2-seater training plane designed by Wilhelm Zimmermann, Hans Wegerich and Hans Hartung. After the prototype was finished, and had been subjected to thorough testing, production of the plane was begun in 1957. The Museum's Lehrmeister, LN-GGV, was registered on June 28, 1962 with Bardufoss Aero Club as its owner. Its acquisition came about as a result of a joint effort by Tromsø, Narvik and Bardufoss aero clubs with the support of NAK. The plane was in use at glider training courses many places in North Norway, including Rognan, Mo and Bardufoss. Bardufoss was the final destination of this popular aircraft when its certificate of airworthiness was withdrawn in the 1970's. In 1993, the plane was donated to Bodø Aviation History Society, and it was restored and put on display at the Norwegian Aviation Museum at its opening in 1994. ![]() |
